Retradoodles ~ Gorgeous Goldendoodles / Groodles
Our dogs are in optimal condition and fed premium dog food appropriate for their age and breeding status. Every care is taken for our dogs to be parasite treated for worms and fleas. Each one of our dogs are vaccinated, microchipped and registered with our local council.
We live in the country in the beautiful Bay of Islands and breed gorgeous Goldendoodles (Retradoodles/Groodles). We own our own girls and studs as a long term investment into breeding you well prepared dogs both physically and mentally from well socialised family dogs – our Bellawai Babies!
Sometimes if we are wanting a puppy for ourselves to continue breeding from, we may use the stud of a preapproved professional.
Our dogs all come out into the community and are socialised regularly off our property at different local parks and beaches. They enjoy having loads of adventures with our family, this makes them more mentally sound dogs to breed from – which passes on to the pups.

Finnegan – A 34kg big Bellawai Handsome.
Purebred English Cream Golden Retriever
Finnegan is 100% Golden Retriever DOB 22/04/2021. DNA tested clear and PennHip Hip scored an impressive 0.34 (central median for Golden Retriever breed 0.59) and Elbows clear.
Such a docile and gentle giant is our Finnegan. Beautiful English Cream lad who is a real head turner wherever we go. He is so relaxed and kind. Far from the busy fieldline Retriever. The perfect suburban guy who will make equally relaxed babies. We are so proud to include Finnegan in our breeding program with our Goldendoodles.

Purebred Red Standard Poodle
DOB 22/06/2023. DNA tested purebred Standard Poodle with clear genetic results. Is very rare in colour for a Standard Poodle with “intense red” in his DNA test results. This is a non fade gene which enables us to breed toffee and caramel colour Goldendoodles in NZ. An exciting direction for Bellawai and definitely still no miniature poodle genes in our lines for the health and structure of your dog bred by us.
Rory is PennHip scored with excellent results. Results overseen by Orthopedic Surgeon and approved partner to our Bellawai girls. Please note Rory’s puppies do not come with papers. Rory is not papered himself. Rory has been raised since a puppy with us at Bellawai.
Our red king (Rory) is one head turning beauty and I feel so lucky to have him. He is not only incredibly gorgeous he is so adorably affectionate and well behaved. Taking Rory for a walk makes me feel super proud of his majestic looks. He is neat of friends with all of my girls. Easily adapting to spending time with them and being actively involved with puppies here at Bellawai.
Flossy – A 24kg Shaggy floof.
F1 Goldendoodle (50/50 Poodle/Golden Retriever parents)
DOB 29/03/2022. Mother purebred white Standard Poodle DNA tests clear. Father purebred white Golden Retriever DNA tests clear. Flossy is PennHip Hip and Elbow scored with excellent results and clear elbows. Gentle and fun is the perfect way to describe our gorgeous fleece coat girl. She is tall for her Goldendoodle breed with the help of her beautiful white purebred Golden Retriever father (who is also the father to our purebred Golden Retriever girl Olive). Flossy is a cutie who often wears bows in her hair to keep her eyebrows out of her eyes and of course to look super cute. Flossy has had one litter with us and every one of her babies are growing to be wonderful dogs with our happy clients. I am sure this is a testament to Flossy’s amazing nature. She really enjoyed being a Mum and we are looking forward to meeting her babies with Rory.
Holly – A 23kg long legged lady.
F1B Golden Doodle. 75% Poodle 25% Golden Retriever
Holly is the epitome of grace. She is absolutely every doggos friend and at times of her most hormonally influenced when on heat – she is still every doggos friend! Unusual for a breeding dog and a quality that shines through in her puppies. Holly has worked with clients of Maria’s former Life Coaching business and was wonderful at just sitting with them and holding space. Her kindness and gentle manner is commented on by all who meet her. Holly very much reminds me of my first Goldendoodle, our late Polly. I feel so lucky to have experienced another incredible soul to share with my family. Her mother was a F1 Goldendoodle (half half) and father a Standard Poodle. Both DNA tested. Holly is an F1B which means 75% Standard Poodle and 25% Golden Retriever. Holly’s mate is Finnegan our purebred English Cream Golden Retriever. Their puppies are called Goldendoodle Retrievers and carry a shaggy low shed coat with soft swirls, rather than the tight higher maintenance wool coat like Holly’s. The little bit of extra Golden Retriever bred back into their puppies means the pups typically have less furnishing (beard and eyebrows) around their face.
Mabel – A 34kg big Bellawai Beauty.
Goldador Retriever
She is a smoocher honeybun. Bred from her Grandmother who was 50/50 Golden Labrador Retriever and Golden Retriever purebred, to her mother raised and bred to the father of my choice – a registered Dogs NZ Golden Retriever. Mabel herself has 1/8th Golden Labrador and her babies will have approximately 1/16th. This tiny amount of purpose bred Golden Labrador gives a broader dog and extra hybrid vigor. Mabel has all the trimmings of a beautiful flat coat, huge tail and pretty leg feathers. She has the grand head of her father and a fun personality. She is a gentle large boofball of a dog and so much fun to watch her carry her teddy bears about. Mabel is partnered to our stunning Red Standard Poodle Rory. An eye-catching majestic lad who is full of personality and smarts.
Poppy – A 33kg rich golden girl.
Purebred Golden Retriever
Poppy is 100% Golden Retriever DOB 14/11/2020. DNA tested and PennHip scored 0.47 (central median for the breed globally 0.52). Elbows clear.
Poppy is a gentle gem. Poppy is purebred Golden Retriever and in February 2025 she will carry her third litter (with heat cycles between) as a Goldendoodle Mother instead of a Golden Retriever litter. Poppy is an outstanding dog and the puppies she will have with Rory will be a rich red colour without fading as Rory carries the genes for intense red and without dilution. By the time your baby has finished vaccinations they will be Spring ready Golden and Red Caramel Toffee puppies for you. Your puppies father will be adorable Rory our Red Standard Poodle.
